GopherJudy
Old Grey Eagle, Thanks! I guess they're not BSA uniform pants! Judy
mdutch
Hops, What have you put in the list that isn't in the handbook?
hops_scout
I dont know what all I have that isnt in the handbook. Basically, I've based most of my purchases from the handbook, but not everything. As soon as I get my stuff all typed up, I'll post it here. I tend to be more prepared than most.
acco40
As SM, I sign-off on requirements on outings. No book, no sign-off. That pretty much reinforces the "suggestion" that the boys bring their BS Handbook. And yes, I bought my own but alas with no signatures! What is good for the goose is good for the gander. Scoutmaster23
Here's the way we handle things - short and sweet... Your Scout Book, NoteBook, Pen or Pencil is part of your "being prepared" gear....Uniform, Scout Book, Notebook, Pen/Pencil, etc... These are to be brought to every Scouting event/activity unless otherwise notified by your SPL or an adult leader - Every boy, every time reguardless of rank or age is required to have his Scout Book available at all Scouting activities. SO - This could mean - if you're not told ahead of time, to bring it to the Troop Swim Party (for example) then you should very well have it with you....."Being prepared for any ole' thing" comes to mind...
