Fuzzy Bear
BW, Eamonn did not specifiy the edition of the BSHB. I don't think you get to set the rules in this one. FB
Bob White
"Bad judgement" is correct. FB, no surprise. New Question. Who is Robert Birkby?
dan
Bob White I was just giving the correct answer for the question I asked. Robert Birkby is the Author of the Boy Scout Handbook. Next Question What tip does Edward Cave have for hiking and what year did he write the tip?

Eamonn
Robert Birkby is the chap who is credited as being the writer of the Boy Scout Handbook, the last two anyway. Bob White
Sorry Dan I got confused. You were of course correct in both your answers. My error. Eammon, Would you like them in book order, alphabetical, or arranged by priority of their ecological impact?
Eamonn
The idea was that we could use this as a quiz that would get our Scouts used to looking in their Scout Handbooks. As such we should use the book that they are most lightly to have on hand. The most up to date edition. Edward Cave wrote The Boy Scout's Hike Book. It was published in 1920. If I remember right I think he also wrote another book on hiking with his brother as the co-author, his name was Neil or Nigel? Eamonn
dan
Look before you Leap. Page 213 of the current handbook, has a hiking tip form Edward Cave. dan
maybe this thread needs a rule that says only people that have a handbook, preferably the latest one, and have opened it and read it can ask questions. Or maybe a disclaimer that says data maybe corrupted.
