Eamonn
A couple of weeks back in the chat room Bob White was preparing a quiz for a future troop meeting. He asked us (AK-Eagle and I) To lend a hand. I thought maybe we could do something along these lines here. How it works. You can post a question on any topic that is covered in the Boy Scout Handbook. If challenged you have to show the reference in the Handbook. Page number and all that good stuff. The Questions do not have to be hard!! You have to answer a question before you can ask one. Discussions about the answers should be in the Spin Off. The idea is that you can use some or all of this at a Troop meeting or even a round table meeting. The decision of the Scout Handbook is final - Even if you think it is wrong. Fuzzy Bear
If the water is from an unknown source or thought to be untreated then it should be boiled for 15 minutes. Science Weekly
Fuzzy Bear
Oh yea, Page 98 of the Tenth Edition, 1990 BSHB. Yes boiling water is an acceptable form of purifying water. After boiling, pour it back and forth between two pots to freshen it. FB

Fuzzy Bear
Big Dog, I apologize for adding to the game. My free thinking gets in the way sometimes. My question still stands because my answer d. None of the above is correct. Now you must tell me one trick to "See" Animals when in nature. This comes from the BSHB.(This message has been edited by Fuzzy Bear)
