insanescouter
My humble option is let him try it, especially since his parents are around and the Tiger DL seems willing to have him aboard.... I agree with the others do what you can to encourage him and not damper that spirit ... Scott Robertson http://insanescouter.org Helping leaders one resource at a time.... amethyst
My son just turned 1st Class last Spring. He is DC for my Tiger Den. We tried to get him with the webelo 1 group but the DLers are extremely to controlling and did not know how to use a DC. I think that Tigers or Wolves is a good group to start with first. Just as long as the DLers know that he is there to assist them and help work with the Cubs. YIS, amethyst
Stosh
It's just as important for the DL's to take DC training as the DC. If they don't, they could very well be wasting a lot of people's time. Stosh
amethyst
I completely agree with you on that one. I did not take the training but I have read cover to cover my son's DC manuel thathe got in the training. It has really helped me guide him as a DC. We now have him on track with our densince the webebles 1 leaders did indeed waste his 1st month in the position. Thank you for you advice. amethyst
