Jamboree Troop Donation to WFF

I received an e-mail with the following information regarding Jamboree Troops giving to the World Friendship Fund.

 

Once again Scouts have exhibited their great

generosity. During the BSA's national Scout jamborees, it has been the custom to have a World Friendship Fund Collection. During the 2001 national jamboree, Boy Scouts donated more than $47,000 to the World Friendship Fund to aid international Scouting projects worldwide. In 2005, the World Friendship Fund surpassed this extraordinary effort by collecting more

than $52,000.

Troop 1113 was the troop I was Scoutmaster for. I gave the boys a challenge of raising $500 and I would let them shave my head. Needless to say, I still have what locks I had.
