Beavah
Yah, I dunno. I sorta remember Peter, Paul, Andrew and all da rest showin' up in togas and sandals. I have to admit, in da modern context that statue does earn quite a guffaw. Back in it's day it was probably fine. Still, I'm with Tampa Turtle. When yeh need a sign to explain da symbolism it's probably because da art doesn't speak for itself. Beavah
OldGreyEagle
Before we tear off down to the road to how silly the artwork is, how many non-US born people can explain the symbolism of the US flag, they look at it and know its the USA, but how many can tell you the significance of the number of stripes, the colors, the blue field and why that number of stars Without an explanation the US flag looks a bit over designed, but in knowing what it all means, its gorgeous The same is true here
Tampa Turtle
You have not seen over designed until you have seen the City of Tampa flag. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flag_of_Tampa,_Florida
SR540Beaver
Beavah, I was unaware that Peter, Paul or Andrew attended church in the US in the 20th century. My bad. Tampa, that hurt my eyes!
