Eagle92
There is no one source to get info. However I find out a lot of new stuff on this website right here. Some of the sites I use inlcude the following: Facebook pages: i.e. Training, Scout Stuff, etc. Sometimes stuff gets posted there first. ScoutStuff.org Gotta learn Supplyese Scouting.org I use google and the phrase "and scouting.org" to find what I'm looking for. moosetracker
Yeah, usually someone else from this forum sees the new stuff and brings it to our attention on the forum. This place keeps me up to date, without having to run around checking in 20 different spots. I just keep track of the Training Times which is a news letter from national about changes to training, which is my interest, the rest I rely on these guys in this forum to update me on.. Normally I am the most informed in my district.
SeattlePioneer
You really need to describe the kind of things you are interested in in greater detail.

Kudu
Google News --> Sign In --> "Personalize Your News" Icon (upper right) --> "Add Any News Topic" Dialogue Box. Add as separate "Topics," short key words for the Scouting subjects that interest you. "Boy Scout" "BSA Scout" Then add Google News to your home pages that open with your Internet browser, so that Google can keep track of everything you do during the day. Deaf Scouter
I like mine via email so I belong to several Facebook groups and blogs along with the standard Scouting. I noticed that things don't trickle down from my district or council that 'I' think are important. If I have a specific issue, I google. One can say the computer is my BESTIEST friend. Just WISH it was everyone else's too... *laughing The best blog I think is Bryan on Scouting out of Scouting Magazine. Already seen the new dates on MB and what they were yet never heard it in council. Then again it pays to read when your DEAF... *laughing
infoscouter
There are some internal BSA sources I have found. One is ScoutWire - www.scout-wire.org This is an internal BSA newsletter for staff. Some of it is stuff we don't have a lot to do with - like financial software, but other things are useful. The ScoutWire page has links to other internal newsletters, including those for Scout Shops, which sometimes have interesting tidbits. There is a BSA YouTube channel which includes "The Buzz" and "WBTV" a couple vlogs which have good things. I recently found out about the new Recruiting event plans from "The Buzz" http://www.scouting.org/scoutsource/Membership/Youth_Recruitment/Events.aspx There is a podcast for Cub Scouting - CubCast http://www.scouting.org/scoutsource/CubScouts/Leaders/Cubcast.aspx You can subscribe to the RSS feed download individual episodes. Podcasts and webinars from the Membership folks: http://www.scouting.org/scoutsource/Membership/Podcasts.aspx There is a newsletter entitled "The Commissioner". The primary audience is Council Commissioners, but the info is useful to others as well. http://www.scouting.org/sitecore/content/Home/Commissioners/newsletter.aspx There is the blog from Bryan Wendell the senior editor of Scouting magazine: http://blog.scoutingmagazine.org/ Bryan recently debuted a calendar of recent and upcoming merit badges: http://blog.scoutingmagazine.org/2012/04/04/your-one-stop-shop-for-updated-merit-badge-info/ The BSA Facebook page: http://www.facebook.com/#!/pages/Boy-Scouts-of-America/113441755297 and Twitter Feed: https://twitter.com/#!/search/boy%20scouts They are also on Google+ and (as of today) Pinterest, but I haven't succumbed to those yet. 5yearscouter
I'll just wait for InfoScouter to post the new stuff here since he's so connected. From here I know there is a new online Tour Plan coming out in May. I found out about the new Guide to Advancement which a lot of people still don't know about cause it's not on the wiki/merit badge.org pages. I usually get a notice thru here that there is yet another change to the GSS.

infoscouter
I take the "info" part of my handle very seriously, as a librarian information is my stock in trade. Here's another one - Health and Safety alerts: http://www.scouting.org/sitecore/content/Home/HealthandSafety/Alerts.aspx Generally they post when there are changes/updates to the Guide to Safe Scouting. (Oh and I'm a she) My real name is gender neutral, too, so I'm used to being mistaken for a guy. The military academies tried to recruit me in high school - back before they admitted women!
