le Voyageur
Just a few.... A 15 passenger van safety training program to be conducted at the Council level. Units operating vans must show proof of training for trip tickets to be approved. Paint ball guns not to exceed a pressure level of 60 psi Slope angles for mountain boarding not to exceed a 3 percent grade. Cub Scouts, and Webelos use of jump rocks, and rope swings forbidden... moosetracker
Paint ball guns not to exceed a pressure level of 60 psi This one seems odd.. I thought paint ball was a banned activity. Or is it ok to use a paintball gun on a target, just not a person and they are limiting the pressure level of that?
Eagledad
I am getting old, the only thing I understood there was the 15 passenger vans. Anything new on throwing horse shoes? Barry

Adam S
LOL The 15 passsengar van was plausible. The paintball thing seems odd since the safety is measured by muzzle velocity of 200 FPS or below, NOT by pressure... 3% angle for mountain boarding (skateboards with knobby tires) is another tip off Thanks for the laugh! RichardB
On a serious note - If any of you call or email about this I will now at least know where it came from. Second serious note: Put up your best practices if you are proud of them - www.myscouting.org Thrid point - elevated water entry (ala rope swings) does have water entry height restrictions for cause. Not so serious (well sort of) We continue to evaluate the hazards, risks and rewards of roasting marshmallows........
Basementdweller
Next week scout flips flaming marshmallow into tent causing tent to catch on fire. The next version of G2SS will ban tents and roasting marshmallows.
RichardB
The tent was just a victim in prior analysis, thanks for identifying it's active role and the need to eliminate the exposure.

skeptic
Taking shoes from horses is inhumane and violates the fifth point of the Scout Law. Before throwing the shoes, they must be documented to have not been taken from an unwilling horse.
Basementdweller
So is it ok to throw the shoes while still attached to the horse???
Beavah
Nah, forget horses. I think it's a travesty that the BSA still does not have a ban on dwarf-tossing. It's just what people would expect from a discriminatory organization, to continue to allow this "sport."

skeptic
Basement; yes, if you are able. Beavah; guess the same goes for elf bowling. The PETA, or similar org, must have stepped in to get rid of it at Christmas. Understand that it was found to be corrupted.
