Lisabob
Well forget about the game and the anthem. What about the commercials? My favorite - the Chrysler one about Detroit. Or was it the Detroit one about Chrysler? All denizens of all kindred rust-belt cities who are tired of getting knocked about in the media on a weekly basis should stand up and cheer for that one. Yeah!
Oak Tree
I liked that one too. The only this is, I've heard so much about how badly off the city is, including from those who have been there, that I find it a little bit difficult to suspend my disbelief on that one. Still, I liked the commercial. It made me think about how a car from Detroit could be a good thing. I also liked the Motorola Xoom doing the takeoff on the Apple 1984 ad, I liked the Volkswagen beetle, and I liked Faith Hill.
83Eagle
I know sex sells but come on...."your rack is unreal"??? First it was explaining all the E.D. commercials during football...Now this...
Eagle732
That "rack" commercial got a chuckle from my 15 y.o. son. Not very family oriented but considering what they show on TV today...
BklynEagle
I think I speak for just about all of us who contributed to the "Star Wars Geek" thread, including Star Wars geeks, Trekkies, Whovians, or in my case a combination of the last two plus a few others, in saying that the one I liked the most was BMW's Darth Vader ad. I spent all of Monday humming the Imperial March, which seemed to confirm to many that I am probably certifiable...
scoutermomks
Loved the Darth Varder one! Even though I was in a room packed with other Steelers fans and couldn't hear it, it was still great. Made me think of my Star Wars loving son
NewCubbyMomma
The Star Wars one was high on our list too - my 8 year old was laughing so hard ! There was some very risque ones that I was left to explain .... like the one for "Sleepy's" with all the couples in bed ..... might be an area specific commercial. John-in-KC
I have sworn off Doritos forever...
Twocubdad
That was gross. Do they really want to associate Doritos with sucking some other guys fingers? Yuk. The Darth Vader ad was great (thought it was for VW, but who cares). The kid was great, but you really have to relate to the dad with the clicker messing with the kid. I also like the smart dogs Bud Light commercial. Gotta love anything with dogs playing poker.
SeattlePioneer
Is there going to be a replay of the commercials for those of us who don't watch football games?
Oak Tree
Go to youtube and search on "super bowl commercials 2011". They want you to see them :-)
