NEI263Beaver
I was relaxing watching the show Pawn Stars on the History Channel. An older gentleman in a scout uniform walked in attempting to sell stamps so he could send some boys to camp. He had a trainer's necker from Wood Badge with a light blue woggle No question...I just thought it was kinda neat.
AnniePoo
Cool! It's one of my favorite shows. I'd pawn stuff to send kids to camp if I had any old junk worth anything.
VigilEagle04
Yeah, I saw that episode when it first aired a while ago. Too bad he didn't have any worth anything, but it was nice of Rick to donate some money anyway. Always great to see the influence Scouting has had on some people. raisinemright
Your talk of the donation reminded me of one. I went to a local firewood dealer to get a trunkload of wood for a weekend campout that was going to concentrate on fire building skills. As I was loading my van, I was talking with the owner who asked if it was for camping. I told him it was for a Scout trip. He then told me that he never charges scouts for firewood. And he really loaded me up.
