markeverett
Hello All. I have recently gotten back involved with Scouting again. After spending most of my youth as a Boyscout, and after hanging up my merit badge sash for over twenty years, the day arrived when my oldest son came home all excited about the " visitor " he had in class that day who talked to him about the Cub Scouts. We went to the Roundup later in the week and as I sat in the meeting and the call for volunteers went out, I couldn't help but raise my hand as I was reminded of all the great male mentors that I had as a scout. I now find myself as the Tiger Cub leader and am having a great time. Scouting is even more fun as a adult than it was as a boy, I didn't think that was even possible. ghermanno
Welcome back. Pull up a chair to the "virtual campfire". Just remember, when/if the beauracracy(sp?) starts wearing on you, we do it for the kids. Our only paycheck is in the smiles and pride in watching a young man develop from a young boy.
