juggerwubba
Hi all, I have just registered as an Assistant scoutmaster for my son's BSA troop in Ann Arbor Michigan. I was both a Brownie and a Girl Guide when growing up in the UK. My son began in Beavers and cubs in the UK, and has just been awarded his 1st class scout badge after joining a webelos den 15 months ago, achieving his arrow of light and crossing over to Scouts. I really like the way the BSA focuses on progression through the ranks, something that was missing from the UK program both when I was a child, and when my son was involved. I am just a little sad that there seems to be no way to recognise my UK achievements now. (I am envious of the other leaders with all the little extra patches they have)
