Chug
It has just been announced that the new UK Chief Scout is Bear Grylls. This schould be good, as he's been there, seen it, done it, got the T-shirt.
click23
http://www.scouts.org.uk/news_view.php?news_id=185 I bet if we could get some one like that, it could be a great recruiting tool.
Twocubdad
That's pretty cool. I wonder if they will create a new patch for learning differnet ways to use your own urine? Maybe we could get Les Stroud?
Eamonn
I'm never going to drink another Mountain Dew as long as I live. Ea.
Chug
The Scout Association has changed the role of the Chief Scout over the last few years. Bear Grylls and Peter Duncan before him are the PR friendly, public face of the movement. Many Scouters don't like this change in the role of the Chief Scout, but I believe this is an excellent way of increasing the public profile of Scouting. Wayne Bulpitt, the new UK Chief Commisssioner, and the Committee of the Council are in charge of the day-to-day running of the movement.
