eagle6
I am looking for sheet music to the Scout song, On My Honor. I can find the words, but not the tune/music. I understand that the tune has changed from what we used to sing. Help! Does anyone know anything about this and where can I find the sheet music? enigma_46383
Commemorating Scout Sunday this week at First Presbyterian Church Valparaiso by singing an original arrangement I titled "The Reverent Scout" -- combination of the hymn "Wait My Soul Upon the Lord" (W.F. Lloyd & Rev. H.A. Caesar Malan) an itd the song "On My Honor" (Harry Bartelt), which I believe is the song which the original poster of this thread was looking for dded an original verse which puts the Scout Law into poetic form. I am sharing the new verse below in case it may be of use or inspirational to others: Act with trust, all; be loyal, too, and help wherever you can. Be a friend, and ne'er a foe; reach out a Courteous and Kind hand. Listen closely to honored Law, be it from Heaven or Man. Wear smiles and ever hold cheer. Mind gifts with thrift and ne'er fear. Be clean in thought, in deed, and mind, And in Reverence, find faith defined. Hoping it is well received. Be visible as Scouts and Scouters in your community -- the movement still lives, and we need its positive force in our country and its youth more now than we have in a long time. -- M.B. gumbymaster
I could sing it for you. I know the tune. I might even have guitar chords in my songbook, but unfortunately I have no clue on sheet music. If I get some time, I'll try to poke on the piano to figure out what the notes are
