Dad's Eagle pin

Where does the Dad's Eagle pin go? Is it civilian wear only or may it be worn on the uniform? I've seen it worn on collar tabs and on pocket flaps.

 

Same with the Mentor pin.

Civilian wear only for both.

I wear mine on my WB name tag, as I've seen countless other Scouters do.

Both are for civilian wear. Good idea about the Wood Badge nametag.

Without upsetting the uniform police, the troops fathers wear their Fathers Pins on the left collar of their uniforms "uniformly".

Then you're uniformly out of uniform. It's a nice pin, and it's good that you're all proud of it. There are numerous pins you could wear there, and so could your Scouts. Lots of them would seem approriate, but all would be incorrect.

Part of our responsibility as adults is to model correct uniform wear. I happen to take that role seriously. I hope you'll look it up in the Insignia Guide, and that you'll do what's right. That's part of our responsibilty, too.

A suggestion I received in a forum a while ago for my mentor pins was to make a neckerchief slide to display the pins. It has worked out well.
