JerseyJohn
Greetings, I'm the fundraising guy in our troop. Every year we participate in the township carnival and raise troop funds. This year I want to add a baseball speed radar game. I am looking to see if any of the members here may have a connection to a sporting goods store for the purchase of a good quality sports radar gun at a fair price. Eagle76
Here's another idea. (A Scout is Thrifty) When our Little League wanted to have a radar gun booth at their fundraising event, they contacted the city police officer who visits elementary schools, runs the D.A.R.E. program, etc., and through him they were able to borrow a radar gun from the police department. Maybe you can contact your own police department and arrange to borrow one.
JerseyJohn
Eagle76, Appreciate the thought although I have been down that trail already. Our local police department leases them and we are therefore not allowed to use them despite the numerous Eagle project we have completed on their behalf - including a two story spotting building at the pistol and rifle range. scoutingagain
Have no connections, but another suggestion. You might find a manufacturer or manufacter's rep who would be willing to lend you the use of a radar gun for appropriate recognition in the booth. I have no idea who makes these things but a quick look on the web might help. SA
JerseyJohn
Thanks Scoutiing Again, I was able to find the manufacturer and they do indeed have a corporate donation request form. Thanks Folks YIS, John
