fgoodwin
In today's comics (Fri Aug 26): Dennis the Menace (in Scout uniform) is at the door of an unknown adult, (probably Mrs. Wilson). He asks: "I'm supposed to do a good deed daily. Do you have any cookies that you need getting rid of?" I can't find a link to an online copy of the comic, so check it out in your local paper. Greying Beaver
Enter "Houston Chronicle" into your search engine. It's in the comics section. It's in the full-color selection, right-hand column. It's kinda-sorta cub scout uniform, but you get the idea.

fgoodwin
Someone sent me a direct link to the Dennis the Menace comic: http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-srv/style/comics/king.htm?name=Dennis_The_Menace http://tinyurl.com/7kgq7 If you read this after Aug 26, enter that date in the archive box (only good for two weeks). evmori
Those socks Dennis is wearing don't look like official Cub Scout socks!

acco40
In todays (Friday) Detroit Free Press there is a Scout cartoon that is somewhat of an editorial. I'll see if I can find a link. http://www.freep.com/features/comics/index.htm I'm not sure the name of the comic (it is not a very popular one). Maybe if someone found the comic they could help me with the link (it is blocked at work where I currently sit). The comic has three frames and the son comes home from his first Scout meeting beaming and happy but the mom still thinks of the BSA as a place for bigots. The "humor" comes across better in the strip.

madkins007
Acco's strip is Clear Blue Water, and the storyline started on Thursday, so when you click on it, just go to the archives section and start with Thursday's strip.

SSScout
Big Nate ran a series on the Pine derby a few years ago. If I can find the copies I made of it , I'll post'em. His car had neat red flames on the side. And his dad had bandages on his fingers and hands. MMMMMMM....
