Let's leave politics out of this discussion. The POTUS is the POTUS. That is actually the best response and I apologize for bringing it in. Separating frustration from places it should be left from.
Tron
It's more than just POTUS signature. My council has had difficulty getting anything back from national in less than 8 weeks since the turn of the year.

Methinks you're overthinking this. Having worked in DC-adjacent positions over the years, I submit this to be among the least of worries/priorities. BinTharDunThat
Methinks I may not be overthinking this. It’s a brand new world out there. Having the signature of a Honorary leader is slowing down recognitions. https://www.nbcnews.com/news/amp/rcna200141
Arkie
I hear you and did not communicate clearly. My original point was that getting the President's signature on Eagle certificates was probably not high on the list of his team's priorities. My instinct is that any "woke" issues the current SECDEF has with our organization is separate from that. Entirely possible the two will merge at some point, though! BinTharDunThat
Agreed. It’s frustrating that BSA did not have a plan sufficient to secure approval and a signature well in advance of Jan 20, recognizing the Electoral College, or Election Day, or the party conventions. Seems unlikely every prior 4 years has been perfect. We just taught the Scouts the leadership skill of planning at ILST. Wish National had this skill set as it delays cards etc for new Eagles. Our current challenge. Edited Monday at 11:24 PM by BinTharDunThat 1

Eagle1993
7 weeks since my son's Eagle BOR and no word from National. This is breaking the records we saw during Covid....
