bluegoose
I heard the bells on Christmas Day Their old, familiar carols play, And wild and sweet The words repeat Of peace on earth, good-will to men! And thought how, as the day had come, The belfries of all Christendom Had rolled along The unbroken song Of peace on earth, good-will to men! Till ringing, singing on its way, The world revolved from night to day, A voice, a chime, A chant sublime Of peace on earth, good-will to men! Then from each black, accursed mouth The cannon thundered in the South, And with the sound The carols drowned Of peace on earth, good-will to men! It was as if an earthquake rent The hearth-stones of a continent, And made forlorn The households born Of peace on earth, good-will to men! And in despair I bowed my head; "There is no peace on earth," I said; "For hate is strong, And mocks the song Of peace on earth, good-will to men!" Then pealed the bells more loud and deep: "God is not dead, nor doth He sleep; The Wrong shall fail, The Right prevail, With peace on earth, good-will to men." ~H.W. Longfellow I think these words speak for themselves. May you all have a safe holiday, and a happy new year. ~peace always
OneHour
Let there be peace on earth, and let it begin with me. Let there be peace on Earth, the peace that was meant to be. With God as our Father, brothers all are we, Let me walk with my brother, in perfect harmony. Let peace begin with me, let this be the moment now. With every step I take, let this be my solemn vow, To take each moment and live each moment in peace, eternally. Let there be Peace on Earth, and let it begin with me. Words and Music by Jill Jackson and Sy Miller, Circa 1955 Wishing you and yours a very merry Christmas and happy New Scouting Year.(This message has been edited by OneHour)
NWScouter
NWScouter
Part 2 Or for you that linguistically challenged in English rather than Norsk I am so glad each Christmas Eve, The night of Jesus birth! Then like the sun the Star shone forth, And angels sang on earth. The little Child in Bethlehem, He was a King indeed! For He came down from Heaven above To help a world in need. He dwells again in heavens realm, The Son of God today; And still He loves His little ones And hears them when they pray. I am so glad on Christmas Eve! His praises then I sing; He opens then for every child The palace of the King. When mother trims the Christmas tree Which fills the room with light, She tells me of the wondrous Star That made the dark world bright. She says the Star is shining still, And never will grow dim; And if it shines upon my way, It leads me up to Him. And so I love each Christmas Eve And I love Jesus, too; And that He loves me every day I know so well is true. God Jul Merry Christmas

SemperParatus
May your celebration of the birth of our Lord and Savior be joyous!! And there were shepherds living out in the fields nearby, keeping watch over their flocks at night. An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified. But the angel said to them, Do not be afraid. I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people. Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is Christ[a] the Lord. This will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger. Suddenly a great company of the heavenly host appeared with the angel, praising God and saying, Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace to men on whom his favor rests. When the angels had left them and gone into heaven, the shepherds said to one another, Let's go to Bethlehem and see this thing that has happened, which the Lord has told us about. So they hurried off and found Mary and Joseph, and the baby, who was lying in the manger. When they had seen him, they spread the word concerning what had been told them about this child, and all who heard it were amazed at what the shepherds said to them. But Mary treasured up all these things and pondered them in her heart. The shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things they had heard and seen, which were just as they had been told.
