Scout names on Troop websites

I've seen Troop websites that post the full names of their boys, and this is down right stupid. What's the BSA's position on this?

I was in a rush, so now I have time to elaborate. My best friend is in charge of the FBI's Internet Crime Unit and he spent an afternoon showing me all the bad stuff that criminals do on the internet, just with names. He has four kids and goes to great lengths in keeping their names off of the web. I follow his lead.

We don't use any youth names on the site; our only pictures are thumbnail size and they're whole-group pics...no way you could identify a particular youth in them. We don't give any youth e-mail addresses, or collect any information from anyone on it, either.

1st names are OK. Last names are not forbidden, but in the interest of safety, I wouldn't use them.

The only time I post a Scouts full name is for his Eagle court of Honor. Its in the newspaper anyway. Also the past two Eagles have been 17.
