5thGenTexan
I saw my Uncle today and he gave me my Grandfather's Eagle Scout medal. He was born in 1923 and still at home in 1940. Already joined the Merchant Marine and was headed overseas in 1943. So, I have a good range to see if I can find when it was awarded. Any advice on where to look first? Council were he was a Scout and will any info that old still be on file in best case scenario? Edited May 8, 2023 by 5thGenTexan

RememberSchiff
You may need the name of his Scoutmaster and Charter Organization for a Council Eagle search.

qwazse
The council or the one it merged with could still have a record of that award. The local library should have community newspapers for that period.
