For the Expedited Distribution, 99% claims determined and 92% paid (6,036 claims) For the TDP, 39% claims determined and 19% paid (58,088 claims) For the IRO, 17% claims determined and 5% paid (230 claims... not all of which are finalized like the ED and TDP) If the Trust were to stop here, just based on claims paid amounts (not determined)... they would need just shy of $6B.
skeptic
This just hit the net. Too little too late, but a step in the right direction IMO. https://www.aol.com/emotional-vote-bill-limiting-claims-093139185.html

For someone who has never been a victim Mr. skeptic how do you feel qualified to be able to make such a statement? Are you even qualified at all about what a Child Sexual Abuse victim goes thru in their lifetime? Do you have firsthand knowledge of what it is like to be raped as a child? Post up the article (which makes me believe the state of Maryland is facing some big-time lawsuits and are trying to limit their exposure since they cannot do the cowardly "file bankruptcy"). Sometimes it is just better to keep your IMO's to yourself, so you don't appear to be so petty.

We should not assume who can and who can not wear a victim badge. Many people can claim victimhood as few people make it thru childhood unscared. Scouting is only one venue where bad people did bad things. Those bad people also existed in youth sports, schools, churches, police, medical and others.
