Owls_are_cool
The nice thing about Waze is that one can map any park or campground beforehand and have scouts explore the site using the app. For example, search "Melita Island Campsite 10" in the app. It will plot the location of this campsite on the map. Then scouts can follow the roads in the app to get to that point. In another park, I put in a mix of hiking trails and roads plus various locations in the park. Scouts can use it to navigate to various locations in the park...mostly by watching the pointer on the map. If no cell service, utility of this app in the wilderness is limited...as a number of others have already mentioned.
