When do the necker colors change?

It looks like red wolf neckerchiefs are on backorder at the online shop.  We are doing crossover next week, and I wonder if we should try to go red?

It would be cool to have them intime for crossover, but I doubt you will make it happen.

 

 

Sucks, cause kids that join in half way through the season will have a red one while everyone else still has yellow.

I was told they plan to use up the yellow ones before introducing red across the board. We will probably use yellow one more year....

If my Scout Shop has red, I'm going with that. I heard yellow would be used up until stock was gone. Which in the BSA means we'll be using yellow for about 18 more years. 😁

My Scout shop told me stock will last into 2020 or thereabouts.

Well, looks like I won't have to worry about the new neckers after all! Which is fine by me since I love the classic blue and gold, and will be happy to simply pass on the old yellow ones, even if the red does make a little more sense what with the matching color schemes and all.

Is the red neckerchief even in the shop anymore? I'm not seeing it online. 

I do see the new red handbook, though.

It seems they are looking to sell out all the yellow stock before putting out the red materials. Same with the new light blue Bear rank patches and all the other cosmetic uniform changes in Cub Scouting.

I think the only “hard” cut overs are the books that hit in early June and the Scouts BSA uniform late this year.  Otherwise, completely agree there will be a long phase in.
