This is located about off Highway 16 between Fredricksburg Texas and LLano Texas. It really puts the lung capacity to a test. Texas has a variety of geography pine forests in east Texas. jkbhiker
Our troop travels from Houston to E-Rock every January to do some rock climbing. We hire a group out of Austin to bring their gear and expertise to teach the scouts. I highly recommend "Rock About". Check out their web site at http://www.rock-about.com/
Big_Dog
Eagle, Now you in d big dogs house. Don't live too far from that hunk of granite. It is a nice place, isn't it? There are so many great places to camp in Texas, but don't wait until June or July to try them, right? North Tx has some really nice scout ranches, also. The Davis mountains in Big Bend, camping on the beach on Padre Island, Piney woods in East Tx. Shucks, I could go on forever. You know what they say: "Texas is a whole 'nother state of mind" ycvt bd
