Motivation Quote of the Day

Recommended Posts

One per person per day.

Quotes that scouters can take back in pass along to their scouts. You might even start a Quote of the Day before dismissing the scouts. I did something like this with both my Cubs and Scouts. Your SPL may want to start giving them at Troop or PLC meetings. Not a lot of rules, but scouts get bored quickly. The fewer the words,  the better. They love humor.

I'll start todays:

Success is usually found in a pile of mistakes.

I thought that was the quote! Then I realized "1 per day" was the instruction. You mean I have to wait until tomorrow (or the next day, if someone beats me to it) to post something inspiring?

What I mean is everyone should add one quote per day. We should dozens of new quotes a day (I assume we have dozens of members). If only three of us add a quote, then maybe the one per day should go away.

Sorry for the confusion.

Ooh, me first...

"Experience is the hardest teacher. It gives the test first, then the lesson."

Ha!

I really like the quote. It may not be "motivational" but it strongly fits with our family motto of "Be Kind and Persevere."

Our color guards always started their service at each meeting with a quote when they were called to present colors. This quote is the kind of stuff they looked for. It's easy to say and makes and projects a positive point of attitude for the day.

I would ask that any "Quote"   be attributed, even if it is yourself.

"The true meaning  of life is the planting of trees under whose shade one does not expect to sit."   = Nelson Henderson =

In my collating/writing/editing/publishing/emailing of our District eNews,  I always lead with a pithy saying, either serious or not so, but thought provoking.

Yogi Berra and Mark Twain and BP are some of my favorite sources.
