Eagle94-A1
I'll bet I can find some folks in England that have an encyclopedic knowledge of Dr. Who and who can tell us some really weird things about sonic screwdrivers. My GPS is "Martha". Martha Jones was OK. Sarah Jane Smith was the best companion. though.
RememberSchiff
I have a rifle and a shotgun at home - the rifle is a Remington, the shotgun is a Winchester. I've named my rifle Winchester and have named my shotgun Remington. Saves on name engraving.
Col. Flagg
Martha Jones was OK. Sarah Jane Smith was the best companion. though. Donna Noble. She saved the universe.
JasonG172
Very true! My MCJROTC unit also gave our rifles girls' names. While the Marine instructor and cadet officers didn't use the exact language Gunnery Sergeant Hartman uses in Full Metal Jacket, it was similar. WARNING: Language Exactly. BTW still one of my all time Favorites
blw2
I have referred to things like that in the feminine....just like a boat I suppose....but never really to the extreme of individual names My bet is they guy was just extending that as a way to make things fun and keep the scouts interested a bit.
