VentureScoutNY
Lets say there is a Trip that a few Venturers want to go on, but do not have enough Scouts interested, or adults. Lets say an adult Boy Scout Troop leader is interested and has some Boy Scouts interested in going on that trip. Can a mix of Venturers and Boy Scouts from a few different Troops or Venturing Crews form one crew for the trip? Also, can some Eagle Scouts that are not registered with a Troop anymore go? Do they need to register to be able to go on a trip? I would think it would be ok, since all are registered members of the BSA... But Im not sure, so I'm asking all of you for your expertise on this one.
nldscout
I see no reason why not, In fact we are doing this with a joint crew troop to Gettysburg next month.
AK-Eagle
VentureScoutNY Gee never the easy way eh? I think the "simple" solution to the challenge is to work with the troop that wants to go and have them "invite" you and your venture's along for the ride. Secure parental permission slips to reflect this. Now as far as the tour permit I'd go to your local DE or SE to see what is needed to be covered. If all else fails see if you can get your district to host the trip. Those Eagle Scouts that want to tag along need to be registered AK-Eagle Hope that helps

Eamonn
Get the Eagle Scouts registered back in the troop or with a crew. File the tour permits. And have fun. Eamonn
