JosephMD
This was an actual question asked in a lodge candidate forum. It isn't required but the last few lodge chiefs have purchased the polyester/wool uniforms to wear when performing their official lodge chief duties. They do make for a nice looking uniform, considered it for meetings, but if I were to have a third uniform, I would still want it to be useful in the outdoors. King Ding Dong
Scoutstuff.org was recently clearing out the larger sizes (52, 54, 56) of the pants and shorts for $4.95 each so I bought some. So far they are holding up really well in the out of doors. They don't have cargo pockets but I find them very comfortable. I call them my SE pants becuase I have never seen anyone else wear them. They are dry clean only but I will probably just use woolite in my front load washer and let them drip dry. Fortunately I am done with the 56 and down to the 54s. Might just have the 52s altered until I fit into the standard sizes again. That's what really pisses me off about Scout Uniforms, they shrink.
