SSScout
Well, I like the idea. Consider his acceptance speech for the Distinguished Eagle medal.... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kKie47V2lLY
Rick_in_CA
What a great speech, I hadn't seen it before. Thanks for sharing it!
Daped01
I have seen it before, but its such a good speech, and Mike is such a great role model, i just sat through it again
NJCubScouter
I don't know about President, he probably would not want to take the pay cut. I do think he would be a good candidate for the Silver Buffalo award. I suspect that most of the recipients are big contributors, former officers at National, etc., but Rowe has done a lot to promote and support Scouting, mainly just by being publicly identified with it. 00Eagle
How about National President of the BSA? Chief Scout! Let Gates and others handle the boardroom business.
skeptic
Mr. Rowe has more sense than to even consider such a move, and do not believe his ego is big enough either.
walk in the woods
Kind of digging Creek in the active celebrity chief scout role
desertrat77
Creek or Rowe, both would excel. But it would never happen. When was the last time you saw a dynamic, fit, outdoorsman/woman under the age of 50 serving in any senior role in the BSA? Exactly.
