KenD500 Posted June 21, 2015 Share Posted June 21, 2015 We've had success by running an aid station at a race. The race director then makes a donation directly to the Troop. The race director we work with has a list of donations based on the particular aid station & their requirements. Some of the stations require more people/time and therefore get a larger donation. In Exchange for Filling and Hauling the Potable water tanks to the rest Stations and running the Pumps to allocate the Water to Organizations running the rest Stops and Reallocating the water to Other Stations during the race after a Station closes during the Race and to bring the Tanks back to a Central Location and Any Left Over Water to be reclaimed for later Use..They receive a $5000 Donation...interestingly they are the Only Non-Profit or any Volunteer Group to receive a Donation at the Event By the Way Hotter-N-Hell 100 Bike Ride/Race is coming up Soon..Good Chance to earn the Cycling portion of a Certain Award...Think your Scouts are up to 100 miles in a Single Day in Hot Weather?
