While there are always exceptions to every rule, I find that young adults, especially single really aren't interested in volunteering for anything.  I got into it and enjoyed it, but I started because of psychology classes at the university required volunteering for challenging programs.  All the wrong reasons, but as time went on, it became part of who I have become.

 

Adults don't volunteer because they want to, they volunteer because their children want to be part of the program.
