joesport5
So we are in the process of reorganizing into new patrols, condensing from three to two, and the boys would like to have new patrol emblems. SInce I am new and been searching where is the best place to get approved BSA patrol emblems. The boys have made a list of their favorite patrol names but I think some of them are not authorized. Thank for any help.
Eagle94-A1
1) WELCOME TO DA FORUMS! ( a little late but, better late than never). 2) Before your Scouts pick patrols, I suggest they look at SCOUTSTUFF.ORG ( National Supply Division), http://www.patchtown.com/patrolpatches.aspx ( Patch Town), https://www2.advantageemblem.com/Home/Store.aspx (Advantage Emblem and Screen Printing), http://www.classb.com/bsa/patrolgear/ (Class B), and http://www.boyscoutstore.com/patches/custom-patrol-patches ( Boy Scout Store). 3) If they don't see anything they like, they can get custom made patches. They just need to provide the artwork. But that route is more expensive. We had teh situation where our NSP picked a name that didn't have a patrol medallion. When they realized they would have the custom route and the cost involved, they decided to pick a new name.
meschen
I've used both Patch Town and Class B. Both are they are solid choices. If anything, Patch Town has too many designs. Their catalog is 13 pages long and has over 700 designs. I made the mistake of handing that to a NSP once without any guidance and 90 minutes later they hadn't come close to making a choice. SMMatthew
Our troop has had great success working with the Moritz Embroidery Works to have fully custom (and BSA-approved) patrol patches made for some of our more "unique" patrol names. http://moritzscouting.blogspot.com/2014/09/custom-patrol-patches.html http://bsa.moritzembroidery.com
