Yellow denner cords with a Webelos shirt?

Hi all,

 

Recently my den moved from Bear to Webelos, and all of the boys upgraded to the khaki shirt. With the blue shirt, the yellow denner cords work great - they have a "tab" that kind of looks like an epaulet, and there is an integrate pin to attach the whole thing to the boys' shoulder.

 

Now, with the Webelos uniform, the cords can go under the epaulet, but then you have the tab with no place to really go.

 

Any idea on how this is supposed to work?

I'd just pin them on top (or under) of the epaulet.

if it's not going to be re-used by a non-webelos den in the future just cut off that part and just have the cord left

Hmmm - Not what I thought this thread was going to be about at all - I thought it might be about how the color combination of the yellow cords and khaki shirts was something even Andy Warhol would have stayed away from.

One can still get the denner and assistant denner patches off E-Bay that were used from 1965-1971. Sew them on an armband.
