christineka
I checked the handbook and didn't see anything about the sash. When does my son wear his sash? I'm sewing his first round of badges on it tonight. (I knew he didn't need to wear it when it was void of patches.)
qwazse
This link should be more than you'll ever need to know. Basically, the sash is ceremonial, mainly for courts of honor. He doesn't need to have it with his uniform for every meeting. If he want's to wear it all the time, that's fine too. Suggestion: teach your boy to sew his own patches on. He'll thank you for it one day.
meschen
The sash can be worn any time a the class A uniform is worn. In practice, it is usually reserved for more formal occasions: Courts of Honor, flag ceremonies, parades and other public ceremonies.
