JasonG172
I live on the out skirts of Memphis, TN in Marion Arkansas. This happened in Southave, Ms which is just 45 min. 1 link the first Story http://wreg.com/2014/08/19/someone-stole-trailer-camping-gear-from-boy-scouts/ OUTHAVEN, Miss.  A Southaven Boy Scout troop said thieves got away with thousands of dollars worth of camping gear after their trailer was stolen from a church parking lot. The Boy Scouts of America motto is “always be prepared,†but a Southaven boy scout troop said its members weren’t prepared for this. “One of our leaders said, you know, that just stinks,†Wayne Ashmore said. Ashmore is one of the leaders with Boy Scout Troop 376 and said someone swiped their camping trailer. “We had tents, stoves, lanterns, you know, our pots and pans,†Ashmore said. “Stuff that we had worked for years, you know, raising money to buy and now it’s all gone.†What was most shocking to the troop was that the trailer was stolen from a church parking lot. Second part of the Story http://wreg.com/2014/09/02/family-passes-it-on-to-help-replace-boy-scout-troops-stolen-camping-gear/ SOUTHAVEN, Miss.  The Boy Scouts organization is all about helping boys become honorable young men. But scouts with one local troop recently had to learn a life lesson about how dishonorable people can be, when their trailer full of camping gear was stolen. So when one scout’s mom told us she wanted to Pass It On to their troop leader, the decision was easy.
SSScout
Maybe we can "pass it on" to our Troops. Many hands make light replacements....
RememberSchiff
I am TIRED of hearing about stolen BOY SCOUT trailers. Go expensive with LOJACK http://www.lojack.com/Construction-a...s-and-Towables Go thrifty with an old smartphone and an app (you track the smartphone which was hidden inside your stolen trailer). https://preyproject.com/ Let's stop being victims; catch and prosecute the SOB's. Place a decal on side like WW2 pilots. My $0.
packsaddle
Agree with R'Schiff. Enough already. This unit has been lucky but I know others who've lost their gear this way. And I have plenty of friends who have been the victims of thieves - me too. It's time to catch these slimes and force them to view the world through barred windows.
