Blackcat
Thinking ahead to 2015 and beyond, and looking for summer camp recommendations in New York, New Jersey or Connecticut. We already know Camp Read in New York, and would definitely recommend it, but we need to try something new. Looked at lots of websites, but personal feedback would be much appreciated. SSScout
Five Rivers Council, Camp Gorton (Finger Lakes) , Camp Brule... smaller, personable camps . Very traditional camps. http://www.fiverivers.org/

Momleader
Look at the CT Rivers Camps. They have very well run programs & troops from other states go to them.

Baseballfan
Camp Joseph Citta (Jersey Shore Council) is the best summer camp I've ever been to.
CNYScouter
I highly recommend Yawgoog Scout Reservation in Rockville, Rhode Island. Scenes in the movie "Moonrise Kingdom" were shot there. I have head that they are already full for 2015 as it's the camps 100th anniversary.
SMMatthew
Camp Minsi (located in the Pocono Mountains of Pennsylvania) is a great camp! Our troop has been going there every-other year for the past 2 decades... it's practically our home-away-from-home. A beautiful camp, a wonderful program, and an extraordinary staff.
