Martin Luther King was a Boy Scout

Online, NYC Troop 151 states that Martin Luther King Jr. was a member of their troop. Does anyone have more information?

Not sure about the troop he was in, but from what I have googled, I think MLK was a Boy Scout.

Martin Luther King Jr. was a member of Troop #151 in the Atlanta Area Council when the troop was charted to Ebenezer Baptist Church Atlanta Georgia. There was a gap between the troop charter there and "151 AAC" charter in the Yellow River District from 1974 - 2113. The troop number "151" can be and is used by other councils. I would say the closest any troop could claim that MLK Jr. was a member would have to be in the Atlanta Area Council Georgia. He was not a member of any NY troop.
