I would agree, but add.... or maybe expand on the "events" to include facilitate leader training programs. I think there could be more classes offered if it were a regularly scheduled thing that didn't rely 100% on volunteers. Sure, get the experienced volunteers to teach the nuts and bolts, but don't ask them to coordinate and facilitate.
