Two boys fell asleep in my arms watching the game tonight. Life doesn't get any better than this.

very nice.. Until I have grandkids, those days are over for me.. But I had two cats sleeping on my lap last night, does that count.

Save up for those lean years when not a single pro team in your town brings home a national championship. (You'd think breaking a 2 decade losing streak would count for something, but even though I was pretty sure the Cards would stop the Pirates, I still was expecting a little more. )

I had tickets to the 1987 World Series if the Giants had won the NL playoffs. Cardinals took the series in 7 games. I've hated the Cardinals ever since, but I won't hold it against you.

Well the Rays are out of it so I have not been into this series. I did watch a few Buccaneers FB games with my boys and was able to impart some good life lessons about snatching defeat from the jaw of victory and the philosophy of supporting your team when they are losing all the time.

 

One of my fondest memories is sitting in my Grandpa's basement with him listening to the Oakland A's games on the radio. He had an old vacuum tube Zenith and I got the honor of turning it on to "warm up" for 5 minutes before the game. So keep making those memories King Ding Dong!
