Annoys quite a few dads. Anyone ever hear of a scout getting shot on BSA property in season ?Pretty common round here for them to close the camps completely during deer gun season. The deer will migrate on to the scout camp during fall bow hunting season. They know it is safe.... It isn't uncommon to see herds of 15 or more during the day at fall scout events. Our gun season is the weeks around thanksgiving. The Council leases the property for hunting to a group of guys, They pay some pretty big bucks as the story goes. There is a rumor that a select group of Scouters get to hunt as well, no idea if it is true or not..... Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
