Thanks, fgoodwin. Seldom do I find anything posted around here that helps me integrate my faith and world-view with my involvement in Scouting. This came at the right time for me.

I thought this was an especially thoughtful piece. It would be good reading for anyone with doubts about the issue, but for the more conservative Christian elements, it's something they really should consider before deciding the BSA no longer has any redeeming value.

Good read. The ABS posted on facebook this weekend about the challenges that Baptist indivduals and charters will face in light of the change. I posted my thoughts which were not popular with some of my Baptist brethern. I did post the link here on the facebook page because it states more eloquently what I was trying to say. That it comes from the ABS past president will hopefully carry more weight than my thoughts.
