dragonn
Ventures allows females to get experience in real scouting. Unlike "fluffy" Girl Scouts. I am interested in joining. My problem is that I am engaged to one of the advisers. I need to know the polices of this. And how such an issue should be handled. Any help or advise would be useful. Thank you, Jenn
LongHaul
gragonn, The Youth Protection Policies of the BSA strictly forbid ANY type of one on one relationshiop between Adults and Youth members. An Advisor for a Venturing Crew must be at least 21 and members must be under 21 so this automatically precludes your situation from being acceptable. If you were to join the crew and continue in a relationship with the advisor that advisor could be expellled from BSA no questions asked for violation of the Youth Protection Policy.
