That Whole 800 Pound Gorilla Thing

Maybe I should explain.

 

When I first talked about the "800 Pound Gorilla", I specifically was referring to the LDS Church. Analogous to the "Elephant in the Room" and many other phrases that are used when people are talking about a topic without mentioning a huge factor in the discussion but people are afraid to talk about it.

 

In the BSA the LDS church is the 800 pound gorilla, there are no other 800 pound gorillas. Perhaps some in the 300-400 pound range but that is atretching the analogy father than making salt water taffy (another anology)

 

I am sorry if I confused people, it was not my intent. Sometimes I get obtuse and lost in my own rhetoric
