TheScout
If the Supreme Court makes an unconstitutional ruling, all other officials have a DUTY to ignore it. They all swear to support the constitution. Not to support whatever the Supreme Court says. Your answer to an out of control court is just absurd. I would prefer the other two branches ignoring warped decisions to individuals shooting crazy judges. (This message has been edited by a staff member.) Merlyn_LeRoy
Well, you might not like my realpolitic solution, but you still haven't answered my question. Why does the SC issue rulings if they can just be ignored? What's the point? Is it like a movie review?
TheScout
The SCOTUS should make rulings to settle disagreements over laws. If it makes a decision that disregards the text and intent of the federal constitution, it is the duty of other officials to not follow it. Hence, if the SCOTUS completly invalidates the 1st Amendment, I think the President should not enforce it. (This message has been edited by a staff member.)
