wungulai
I found an e-book that tells how to make traditional scout shirts. Baden Powell brought some scout shirts with him in the 1920s. The shirts are very easy to make and don't need a patern. They can be 'run up' by an experienced machinist in about an hour: http://www.geocities.com/geoffsebooks/scoutshirts.zip I found a lot of boys are 'shy' of wearing uniform in public, unless there's a parade or some function. Some of our scouts started putting their badges on long-sleeved coveralls and found these can be rolled up in their carry packs, and taken out and slipped on over their street clothes, add scarf and hat and hey-presto, instant scout. feel free to contact me for any further info. hops_scout
Making your own unifroms should not be done and probably against the law by imitating a BSA uniform.
