Yes, a Sea Scout Skipper is eligible for any Venturing awards that are available to an Advisor.

Sorry, but that is incorrect.

 

The BSA actually uses both terms.

 

In the OA, its "Adviser". In Venturing, its "Advisor". Don't believe me? Fine. Take a look at their office patches.
