SPL210
Does the first aid merit badge course count as the requirement needed for the First Aid Core Requirement?
OldGreyEagle
No, the First Aid merit badge requirements are a start, but in no way approach the core First Aid requirements for the Outdoor Bronze.
LPC_Thumper
It is my understanding that a much better resource for the Gold Award (not as a conclusion, but as a start) would be to sign up for First Aid Courses with the Red Cross. While First Aid Merit Badge is nice, it is no where near the level of response as full blown first aid courses from Red Cross.
Jessiquita
Having already gotten my bronze.. I know that you need more than just the merit badge. I did the Red Cross first aid. As well as a Red Cross First Responders course. It took about 3 months. It was more info than I hope to ever use. But its good to know. As a reminder.. it also needs to be current when you finish the bronze award.
