swalsh
On the WOSM website they have a page about a new Scouts of the World Award http://www.scout.org/scoutsoftheworld/ This is a special award given to older scouts who show that they are aware of world issues and have acquired the experience, service, and skill to show they are citizens of the world. Each National Scout Organization can come up with their own program to administer the award based upon guidelines given by the WOSM. I am just wondering if anyone else has heard anything about the BSA participating and if we are what the plan is? If we arent participating i think it is sad that we are passing up a chance to offer our youth a truly worldwide award, just like we passed up offering the One World One Promise scouting centenary patches every other country wore during 2007...
