To identify a OA patch I purchased from a junk shop about 10 years ago. http://www.allogagan.net/oa_patch/unknown_oa_patch.jpg here is a scan of it to help. If anyone can help thanx if not maybe suggest a place I can try. I already checked OAimages.com with no luck.

I know that our district has a booklet on all the patches they have had over the years. Does your district have the same available? You can possibly check with National OA site and see what they have to say.

The turtle is the totem of Unami Lodge #1 in Pennsylvania, but that's not a positive ID.

Go to www.gilwell.com You can up load your scan to an area called whatisit that allows others to see it so that they can identify the patch for you.

Unfortunately, there is no way to search by lodge totem at this time. Many lodges have the turtle for its totem. The patch you have a scan of uses the same style turtle as found on many Unami 1 patches/flaps. However, I did not see anything under Unami that was similar to the patch you picked-up. This site also has a "Whats It" section.

 

Good luck and when you do learn what this is, please share it with the rest of us.

Looks like that is at least a 30 year old patch you have.

 

19??: Changed name from Akonequa sometime around 1950

1973: Merged with Ojibwa 173 and Tipicon 425 to form Takachsin 173
